(ahn • i • mah • she)

Ojibway word meaning “to sail away.”

The best way to see the Apostle Islands is to sail among them.

Apostle Island Sailing

Once you step aboard Animaashi’s 34′ sailing yacht “Sarah’s Joy”, you’ll begin an enjoyable adventure, sailing Lake Superior’s beautiful Apostle Islands off Wisconsin’s north coast.

Whether you’re a seasoned sailor, a novice, or a confirmed landlubber this will be the highlight of your trip. With our U.S. Coast Guard licensed captain, you can learn the ropes if you want – or just relax and enjoy the sights while sailing in the Apostle Islands.

So, come join Captain Paul J. Bratti (U.S. Coast Guard Retired) for a half day, full day, or evening sailboat ride on Lake Superior – the world’s largest (by surface area) fresh water lake. We are located on the first finger pier of Bayfield’s main city dock. Come – Sail Away!
